Tennis elbow is another form of tendinitis specific to the tendons in the elbow. It got its name because it is a common injury in tennis players. However, it can manifest itself in people who do not play tennis. This injury involves damage to tendons in the elbow and can be caused by overuse or repetitive twisting or bending back of the wrist. A common symptom of tennis elbow is soreness or pain at the outer part of the elbow. Treatment involves resting the arm and possibly wearing a brace. Over-the-counter pain relievers can help reduce pain and inflammation.
