I can only speak about the doctors that I have seen at Kayal Orthopaedic. I can tell you that Dr. Alan Zalkowitz has been my Rheumatologist for over 35 years and I rate him 10 +. He has recently joined Kayal. Dr. Z. is Unbelievably knowledgeable, very thorough and cares about his patients. He is the Best. Secondly, I Recently I had Burion Surgery with Dr. Chad Rappaport at Kayal and I find him to be the best in his field. I had been to 4 foot doctors previously and when I meet Dr. Rapapport, I had a good feeling about him after our consultation and I was right. After the surgery, I never had one ounce of pain, and I know everyone's situation is different. He is very confident and specializes in the foot. He loves his work, is caring, attentive, so very knowledgeable about foot problems. My surgery went very smooth. I was walking on my foot in 2 days. My Foot is progressing steadily and healing very well - its been about 4 months now. Almost back to normal and the stitches are fading nicely. I would recommend him highly to anyone who has foot issues. I am happy with the results. PS- I have had all my follow-ups with Dr. Rappaport.

Had hip replacement, back surgery, and hip bursitis fix with Dr Kayal and his associates. Wouldn’t trade them for anything. Moved 100 miles away but staying where they know and help me when I need.

I started seeing Dr Kayal to help with a 5 year old back injury that no other doctor was able to correctly diagnosis and help heal. He completely understood the injury, prescribed the correct injections, and then PT. I was better in months. He just last week replaced the first of my two new knees. Nothing but praise for Dr Kayal and his staff. My PA, Jim is incredible at his job and keeps me completely informed.

How does a physician believe that you need a joint replacement, schedule an arthroscopic "repair", and come out and tell the patient's loved ones that the repair wasn't going to work, and close the patient back up. Why, when faced with such irreparable damage do they not opt to prepare the patient for the correct, required surgery? Why not come out and tell the family, it's not going to work. This is what we're going to do to fix it. The recovery time and pain would be so much shorter were the correct surgery performed at that time. Having to wait for three to four months post surgery to schedule the corrective measure while the cortisone injections dissipate is definitely not the way to getting one up and on the road to recovery sooner.
